About @SeekingSFJob

Why am I doing this and why am I not using my real name?

I wanted to try a non-traditional job search and I decided I wanted to start my own social media campaign. I only had one problem: all of my social media accounts are represented by my real name (which I use to network with my current colleagues). Since I wanted to search for a job using social media, I created @SeekingSFJob and this blog.

A little about me and my ideal job.

I’m an IT consultant in my late 20s, I am obsessed with the concept of working smarter (not harder), I’m love consumer technology, I’m someone you want on your team. I’m looking for Product Management, Consulting, and Analyst positions with companies that are doing BIG THINGS. I want to work with people who love their jobs!

Do you think this will work?

I have no idea; that’s part of the fun.

So, why blog about your job search?

I think this is unique (or at least that’s what I tell myself) and I figure that I should document my journey. If this works and I land a job in San Francisco with this blog, it could help somebody else. If it fails, it’s OK! I’m alive and life is good.
